LAC Conveyors is a well-established manufacturer of conveyors and conveyor systems, providing in-house services in design, manufacture and installation to many blue chip companies in various industries across the UK.
Established in 2007 by founders Chris Unwin and Roger Mackness, the company operates from its manufacturing base in Nottingham, a fully equipped specialist conveyor factory. Originally, the business was split into two separate units – one for mild steel & plastics and another for stainless steel – but last year saw the merging of these specialties.
Specifically, the product range includes: stainless steel flat belt conveyors, stainless steel elevators, turnkey food handling systems, mild steel flat belts, inclined belt conveyor systems, turnkey belt conveyor systems, mezzanine floor conveyors, all plastic conveyors, pallet conveyors, lineshaft conveyors, gravity roller conveyors, turnkey roller conveyor systems, bespoke conveyor equipment and conveyor systems.
The LAC Conveyor Systems workforce comprises qualified engineers with a wealth of experience in the field who are fully compliant with a stringent set of safety and hygiene standards across the facility. These industry experts work alongside clients throughout the entire process (from the initial consultation right through to delivery), ensuring that customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
“We offer a complete cross-section of services and products,” explained Canice O’Reilly, Marketing & PR Manager at LAC Conveyor Systems. “We design, manufacture, install and maintain conveyors and conveyor systems for both food and non-food applications, and we have worked on multiple projects (varying from a few pounds to millions of pounds)!”
The privately owned company prides itself on offering customers the best solution for their individual needs, tailoring services as necessary whilst maintaining its high level of quality and safety. Equipment can be custom-made to ensure it is entirely appropriate for the industry sector in which it will be placed, and prices are highly competitive because as specialists they can demand the lowest price from suppliers, meaning these significant cost savings will be passed on to LAC Conveyors’ clientele.
“Using LAC Conveyors is advantageous because of our keenly priced products and great flexibility,” Canice continued. “We can provide bespoke designs, undergoing projects with a turnaround as fast as possible in order to meet customers’ deadlines.
“We have a really good design team in-house, comprising of individuals with extensive skillsets in different engineering backgrounds. Our ethic is all about customer service and versatility: we make what you can imagine – customers come to us to present their ideas and we can help them make it into a reality.”
The conveyor consultants are knowledgeable in virtually every industry, but they are particularly familiar with the food, storage, automotive, robotics, waste & recycling management and pharmaceutical sectors. They have worked for various distribution networks, airside airports and many organisations in hospitality, such as bakeries and meat production companies. Its client list is incredibly widespread and includes many esteemed names, such as LEAR Corporation, Thorntons, ATM Automation, Contract Candles Ltd, CAP Systems and Molins Packaging Machinery.
LAC Conveyor Systems are currently in the process of revamping its website and rebranding with an exciting new look. The company will be attending the PPMA Show this year, where they will be exhibiting at the NEC Birmingham in September.
