New South Bank showroom brings together coffee equipment, training and technical expertise under one roof
Miko Coffee UK has opened a flagship London showroom to support the evolving needs of café, hospitality and foodservice operators across the UK.
Located at Cargo Works on London’s South Bank, just a short walk from Waterloo Station and overlooking the OXO Tower, the new space has been developed as an interactive hub where customers can explore Miko’s full coffee proposition in a real-world operational environment.
After a three-year search for the right location, the opening marks a significant investment in the company’s UK growth strategy and customer support network.
“This has been a long-term vision for us,” says Adrian Stagg, Managing Director at Miko UK. “We wanted a central space where customers could experience everything we offer in one place. London was the natural choice, but finding the right location took time because it had to work for both our teams and our customers.”
Complete coffee solutions
The showroom showcases Miko’s full beverage offering, including traditional espresso machines, bean-to-cup systems, filter and instant coffee solutions, grinders and water boilers, alongside technical support, servicing and certified barista training.
Working with manufacturers including Bravilor, Rex-Royal, Rancilio, Evoca Group and Eureka, Miko tailors equipment solutions to suit individual operational requirements.
In partnership with Jaguar Espresso, the company has also added the Iberital range of traditional espresso machines to its portfolio, including the compact IB7 model designed for sites where counter space is limited.
Visitors can also explore:
- Portioli traditional Italian coffee blends and the Fairtrade organic Puro range
- Miko Freehand and Hand Roasted speciality coffee ranges roasted in the company’s UK roasteries
- Bespoke coffee blend development tailored to customer profiles
- SHOTT super concentrates and seasonal drinks recipes
The showroom also brings together Miko’s office coffee, foodservice, leisure and hospitality divisions, allowing operators to see how concepts translate across multiple sectors.
Built for hands-on training and development
Rather than functioning as a static display space, the London showroom has been designed as a working coffee environment.
Once accredited, the site will operate as a dedicated barista training centre and SHOTT menu development space, enabling operators to experiment with drinks, flavours and seasonal concepts. A technical training area and centralised parts hub will further strengthen aftercare and maintenance support.
“This isn’t a showroom where everything sits behind glass,” says Adrian. “We want customers testing equipment, developing menus and exploring ideas they can implement directly within their own businesses.”
Strengthening UK support
The London opening complements Miko’s wider UK infrastructure, which includes regional offices in Redruth, Exeter, Sheffield and Glasgow, supported by three UK roasteries producing fresh small-batch coffee.
“For us, it’s about accessibility,” Adrian adds. “Having one central location makes it easier for our teams and customers to come together, strengthening collaboration and helping us deliver a better overall service.”
Founded in Turnhout, Belgium, Miko Coffee has grown from a family-run roastery into one of Europe’s leading coffee specialists, operating in more than 40 countries worldwide.
“With this new London hub, we’re reinforcing our commitment to supporting customers at every stage of their journey,” Adrian concludes. “It’s a space designed to inspire ideas, encourage innovation and help operators grow their businesses.”
