Frying & Catering Equipment

Supplying customers both nationwide and overseas, Frying Filters T/A Steve Hill Services is a well-established business that was initially set up in the 1980’s by the personable engineer Steve Hill. FryingFilters_117_07The Gloucester-based enterprise specialises in the distribution of frying and catering equipment in the form of an extensive array of reconditioned oil/fat filter machines, pressure fryers and original spare parts suitable for Merlin, Opal, Bitterling, Pura & Aries systems.

In addition, Frying Filters stocks a large range of superpads and filter papers including the florigo ranges, Miroil filter bags & frames, Kiremko liners, Henny Penny, Picto and Frymaster bags. Its competencies extend to the repair and servicing of catering apparatus, services which are undergone by highly qualified and reputable professional engineers.

FryingFilters_117_08“Here at Frying Filters we do it all,” commented owner Marie Quinton. “They call me ‘The Filter Lady’ because I am always happy to help when it comes to the provision and maintenance of filter machines and associated equipment. I supply reconditioned filter machines to prolong the life of the cooking oil – which in the long term will help the customer save money – and offer a repair and service package because many people have these machines hidden in back store cupboards and just don’t know where to get them repaired using genuine parts.

“I take the orders, I arrange for courier deliveries (the next working day where possible) and organise shipment for machines that need to be repaired. I can even oversee the transport of products that need to be in specific places for onward travel abroad to France, Spain and Romania whenever it is needed.”

FryingFilters_117_09The team at Frying Filters also has the proficiency to take old machines (even neglected ones) and bring them back to life, as they understand that not everybody can afford to spend extortionate amounts of money on brand new filter machines (particularly when in the midst of setting up a new business). These products are successfully reconditioned by highly experienced engineers with a whole host of manufacturing and maintenance skills.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me in this,” concluded Marie. “This includes my family, friends, customers and organisations. It has been tough and there have been some very difficult times but I am determined to succeed, so I will continue doing what I know whilst learning and progressively growing the business. My aims going forwards include keeping up with technology and social networking to develop my skills and further advance the Frying Filters brand.”

The organisation’s main clients include fish & chip shops (having even facilitated the requirements of the Chip Shop of the Year, Simpsons of Cheltenham), restaurants, hotels, colleges and tea companies.
